i wouldn't sugest trying to jump this kite, you're asking for trouble really. i owned and mk1 beamer 3.6 and used to take it out in the stupidist of winds. sometimes used to get decent height on jumps, but 90% of the time followed by being dropped at the apex, suprised i never injured my ankle too bad. the flexifoil blade mk3 or mk4 4.9m should be a wise step to get you into jumping, but be warned, these kites take no shit (especially the mk3). they will float you down nicely pretty much all the time though, as they were designed to be jumped (unlike the beamer).
